Flip & Store Waffle Maker
Ingredients
2 cups waffle batter (store-bought mix or homemade waffle batter)
1 pint ice cream (vanilla, chocolate, or any preferred flavor)
Rainbow sprinkles for decorating
Non-stick spray or melted butter for waffle maker
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 egg
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons melted butter or vegetable oil
Directions
Make the Waffle Batter: If you're going the homemade waffle recipe route, mix the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt). In another bowl, whisk egg, milk, and melted butter or oil. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just smooth.
Preheat and Prepare Waffle Maker: Turn on the bella Fold & Store Waffle Maker and coat with non-stick spray or butter.
Cook Waffles in Waffle Maker: Pour batter into the waffle maker, close the lid, and cook until the waffles are golden brown (about 3-4 minutes). Let waffles cool on a rack so they don't get soggy.
Assemble Ice Cream Waffle Sandwiches: Cut each waffle into quarters or strips. Place a scoop of ice cream between two waffle pieces, gently pressing to flatten. Quickly roll the edges in sprinkles for that fun pop of color.
Serve or Store Your Waffle Ice Cream Sandwiches: Serve immediately or wrap in parchment paper and freeze for later enjoyment.
