Ingredients

  • 4 medium ripe tomatoes, quartered

  • 1 small red onion, peeled and quartered

  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and roughly chopped (adjust to taste)

  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves

  • 2 tablespoons lime juice (from about 1 lime)

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

  • Optional: 1 clove garlic, peeled

Directions

  1. Prepare the Food Processor Attach the chopping blade to the BELLA Pro 8-Cup Food Processor and ensure the bowl is securely locked.

  2. Chop the Ingredients Add the tomatoes, red onion, jalapeño, and cilantro to the food processor. If using garlic, add it now.

  3. Pulse to Desired Consistency Pulse the food processor 4-6 times until the ingredients are finely chopped but still chunky. Be careful not to over-process; pico de gallo should have a slightly coarse texture.

  4. Season and Mix Transfer the chopped mixture to a bowl. Stir in the lime juice and salt, then taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

  5. Serve and Enjoy Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 2 days for flavors to meld. Use as a dip for tortilla chips, a topping for tacos, or a fresh addition to any dish.
