Ingredients
4 slices of brioche or thick-cut bread
2 large eggs
½ cup whole milk (or milk of choice)
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp sugar (optional, for a sweeter toast)
1 tbsp butter (for greasing the griddle
Toppings:
Fresh berries (blueberries, blackberries)
Maple syrup
Lemon slices (optional garnish)
Whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream
Directions
Preheat the Griddle:
Plug in the griddle of your choice and preheat to medium heat (about 350°F).
Prepare the Batter:
In a shallow bowl or dish, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and sugar until well combined.
Soak the Bread:
Dip each slice of brioche into the batter, ensuring both sides are evenly coated but not soggy.
Cook the French Toast:
Grease the griddle with butter, letting it melt evenly.
Place the coated bread slices onto the hot griddle and cook for 3–4 minutes per side or until golden brown and slightly crispy.
Serve:
Plate the French toast and top with fresh berries, a drizzle of maple syrup, and a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of ice cream.
Garnish with lemon slices for a pop of freshness.
